The TV personality took to social media mid-game to make a big prediction about the Bears quarterback.
Skip Bayless says Caleb Williams is on his way to becoming NFL’s best quarterback
Williams was absolutely outstanding for the Bears in their win against the Seahawks on Monday night.
The 24-year-old threw for 247 yards and a touchdown without committing a turnover, thus catching everyone’s eye.
Williams’ steady hand on offence seems to have really impressed Bayless, who not only praised his development but also predicted that he will be the best in the league very soon.
He tweeted mid-game: “Caleb Williams is a sensational athlete with a huge arm who is learning to play QB at the highest level. He is on his way to being the NFL’s best QB.”
That is huge praise for Williams, but he completely deserves it.
In five games for the Bears so far this season, the former USC Trojan has completed 112 of 158 passes for 1,267 yards, six touchdowns, and just one interception, while posting a 104.6 passer rating and a 70.9 per cent completion rate.
Williams really does look like a star in the making, and if he continues developing in the same way, Bayless’ prediction may well come true in the coming years.
Up next for the Bears is a home game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It will be interesting to see how well Williams will fare in that fixture.
