Raul Rosas Jr. and Ailin Perez are on the climb after UFC Fight Night 289.
The event, which took place at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas, saw Rosas Jr. pull off an unconventional, if not downright strange, yet scary knockout of Raoni Barcelos in the main event. Rosas Jr. entered the week among the honorable mentions at bantamweight, and with the win, takes Barcelos' spot at No. 14.

In the co-feature in the women's bantamweight division, Perez pulled off a questionable unanimous decision win over heated rival Norma Dumont. The top 5 matchup created a shuffle in the division due to the result and inactivity from others in the division. Perez is now the No. 2 fighter, while Dumont maintains her No. 5 spot.
