The Colts (1-2) sent away a couple of second-round picks over the past year who have become rotation players for their new teams. Adonai Mitchell — who had dropped a ball just before reaching the end zone in a one-possession loss to the Los Angeles Rams — was a piece in a 2025 midseason blockbuster trade. This offseason, the Colts made Pierce their priority, and dealing Michael Pittman Jr. provided financial help.

How former Indianapolis Colts from 2025 are faring in 2026

∎ The Colts traded receiver Michael Pittman Jr. and a 7th-round draft pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a 6th-round draft pick they used on defensive lineman Caden Curry. Pittman started with Indianapolis as a second-round draft pick in 2020.

Pittman has 5 catches for 74 yards in Pittsburgh (2-1), but he got noticed in Week 3 for Aaron Rodgers' very R-rated reaction after a missed connection.

∎ Adonai Mitchell, a Colts second-round pick in the 2024 draft, and two first-round draft picks were sent to the New York Jets (1-2) in the middle of last season in a deal that brought cornerback Sauce Gardner to Indianapolis.

Mitchell had 9 receptions for 123 yards in the first two weeks, but a finger injury sidelined him in Week 3.
