Two Titans, including Jeffery Simmons fined after Week 2 incidents vs Eagles

The Tennessee Titans had a solid outing against the Philadelphia Eagles, but unfortunately, they came up just short of pulling off the upset. During the contest, wide receiver Calvin Ridley derailed a critical drive with an unnecessary roughness penalty that cost him more than yards.
On Saturday, the Gameday Accountability Office announced it was fining Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley $12,537 for the infraction, his second fine of over $12,000 in 2026. If Ridley receives another similar penalty, his second infraction will rise to $18,507. This is Ridley’s second fine of the 2026 season.

Ridley wasn’t the only Titan to lose money this week. Star defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons was fined $11,941 for an unpenalized unnecessary roughness call after a first-quarter play.
In 2025, Tennessee racked up more than $160,000 in fines throughout the season. This was roughly four percent of the league's average annual total ($4 million) of fines.
All fines are donated to the Professional Athletes Foundation to support Legends in need and to the NFL Foundation to further support the health, safety, and wellness of athletes across all levels, including youth football and the communities that support the game.
