A former bantamweight world champion, Jason Moloney (29-4, 20 KOs), has just become the latest to sign a deal with Zuffa Boxing as the new promotional company continues to fill its ranks. Sky Sports reported the news today, with a satisfied Moloney hopeful about what’s to come.

“I love what Zuffa is doing, giving the fans great fights every time and matching the best against the best,” Moloney said. “That’s what I’m all about, fighting the best and becoming the best.”

Moloney, 35, is obviously closer to the end of his career than the beginning, but brings a level of credibility to Zuffa as an ex-world titleholder who is still looking to position himself for another run at a belt with Moloney positioned as the WBC’s #3 contender at bantamweight.

In his last outing Moloney took a unanimous decision over Andre Donovan in his home country of Australia this past April but you can bet Zuffa will be looking to have in back in action as soon as possible.
