The Los Angeles Rams are the only team in the NFL with international marketing rights in Japan. Those nations, all connected by the Pacific Ocean, are regions for which the NFL has expressed tremendous interest. With an expanding international schedule, including the Rams' season opener in Melbourne, they could be headed back west as soon as next season, with the league looking to break into Asia.
Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer reported on the latest from the NFL, noting that league EVP Peter O’Reilly mentioned Tuesday that Japan is on the list of countries that could host a game.

• The owners resolution gives league the ability to move towards 11 international games in 2027, but they’d have to have NFLPA approval to go beyond 10.
• O’Reilly mentioned Japan specifically as a future frontier.
A quick caveat to the resolution is the Jacksonville Jaguars' annual London game, meaning the NFL could have 11 contests outside of the United States instead of 10.
If the NFL is going to Japan, it's highly likely the Rams will be a part of that contest.
