Vikings move to 6-0 off ugly 16-10 win over Colts despite slow offensive start

· Yahoo Sports

The Minnesota Vikings found a way to stay alive once again, pulling off a 16-10 victory over the Indiana Colts on Sunday and giving the team a 6-0 record.

The Vikings’ inefficiency left them dangerously close to take their first loss of the year, but a fourth-quarter touchdown coupled with a late game-sealing pick was enough for another one-score win — the team’s fourth of the season.

Minnesota’s offense lagged throughout the matchup, repeatedly falling short on promising drives. But while trailing 10-6 heading into the fourth quarter, the Vikings finally found the end zone: Quarterback Kyler Murray passed to T.J. Hockenson, who stretched for the touchdown and the lead.

In crunch time, a huge throw from a scrambling Murray to Jordan Addison was taken back by a holding call, erasing a play that would’ve gotten the Vikings within inches of the end zone. Even as the drive continued, Minnesota was forced to settle for a field goal, leaving the door open for a Colts comeback with a minute and a half remaining.

But Indiana’s push for the end zone ended quickly, after Daniel Jones threw a rough interception to Harrison Smiththat sealed another ugly victory for the Vikings.
