Head coach Sean McVay told reporters on Wednesday that the team hasn’t spoken internally about bringing in another wide receiver, as they’re set to be without Davante Adams for the next 6-10 weeks.

Maybe we talked about the practice squad, but not anything external.”
After Adams and Puka Nacua proved to be one of the best wide receiver duos in football last season, they will likely spend at least half of this season not playing alongside each other.
Nacua missed the Rams Week 2 and Week 3 games against the Giants and Broncos due to a groin injury.

“Obviously with Tae going down, everybody’s going to get more opportunities,” Quarterback Matthew Stafford said to Jackson.
Stafford went on to praise second-year wide receiver, Konata Mumpfield, as a potential replacement for Adams, as he called him, “a guy that has had some [chances] and done a nice job with them. He’s going to continue to grow. He’s, again, young in his journey as a player in the NFL. He’s a really talented kid.”
Stafford continued on to say that Mumpfield soaks it all in and the team is looking for him to do his best.

The team will also be without star defensive end Kobie Turner as he will miss the next 4-6 weeks due to a groin injury.
While Los Angeles will be without Adams for an extended period, this season is also a contract year for him, as he will be hitting the open market after he signed a two-year, $44 million contract with the team in March, 2025.
