Tom Brady and Bill Belichick snubbed the 2001 New England Patriots’ Super Bowl anniversary party, and two longtime Patriots radio hosts are tired of their antics.
Both Brady and Belichick are considered legendary figures within the Patriots organisation for the six Super Bowls they helped bring to New England.

However, since their respective departures, the way they’ve treated their time with the franchise has not been well received within the fanbase.
Michael Felger and Tony Massarotti question why Tom Brady and Bill Belichick missed Patriots Super Bowl anniversary party
Speaking on 98.5 The Sports Hub, Michael Felger and Tony Massarotti, along with Jim Murray, discussed Bill Belichick and Tom Brady missing the 2001 New England Patriots Super Bowl anniversary dinner.
Even if they couldn’t attend, all three hosts questioned why the pair couldn’t have at least sent a video to send their appreciation and love to their former colleagues.
Michael Felger: “No video? Nothing? That’s crazy. How do you not have a little video from Brady?”
Jim Murray: “All it takes is just two seconds to turn that phone around, film a video and send it off to someone on the Patriots.”
Felger: “How could they not have asked and how could he not have done it? Was there any mention of Brady?”
Murray: “Not that I can remember or recall…”
Felger: “How does he not do a video? Bill, I know. He’s an a******. He’s a complete d***. So I can totally get Belichick not doing it. Why would Brady not do it?”
Tony Massarotti: “Maybe Brady has become more like Bill.”
Felger: “We mentioned this early into the week. I think there are reasons for him not to do it… It’s all he had to do. He can’t even do that?”
Murray: “Did you hear the other thing about Belichick this weekend? This makes him look like a bigger a******. He went and surprised a bunch of players who were on the ’86 Giants that held a 40th anniversary dinner the same night that UNC ended up losing to Notre Dame. He flew out to New Jersey to surprise those players. October 4th.”
Felger: “He did it for the ’86 Giants? That is still his favourite team. I’m sorry, Patriots fans.”
Murray: “Once I heard that, there is no excuse for either of these guys to, at least once again, turn the phone around, send the video.”
Brady’s absence is easier to explain, as the legendary quarterback was fulfilling his broadcast obligation with Fox Sports as part of their NFL coverage.
As for Belichick, he was presumably obligated to be in North Carolina, as he oversaw the Tar Heels’ win over Pitt.
Of course, the rumoured tension between Belichick and New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft may have also played a part in the legendary head coach’s absence.
