C.J. Stroud hasn’t been great as of recent, but he isn’t far removed from one of the best rookie quarterbacking seasons ever. Plus, Nico Collins is one of the best receivers in the NFL. The offseason trade for David Montgomery was supposed to take the team to the next level. However, the Texans started the season 0-4.

They got their first win by a score of 26-3 over the Tennessee Titans, but Montgomery was pulled from action because of a groin injury. According to Adam Schefter, the running back is considered week-to-week, meaning he could miss action in the near future. Jalen Pitre is considered to be on the same timeline with a shoulder injury.

Luckily, reinforcements are on the way. The Texans were revealed to be the team trading for Marvin Harrison Jr. The disgruntled receiver wasn’t a fit with the Arizona Cardinals, but he was the number four pick and one of the top receiver prospects in recent memory as recently as 2024.

Harrison is a big-bodied receiver, just like Collins is. Opposing teams are going to have a tough time finding the personnel to guard both receivers, and their combination together could bring out the best from Stroud. Only one team has ever overcome an 0-4 start to make the playoffs, but if anyone could do it again, it would be the Texans.
