Jaguars' Bryan Thomas Jr. ejected from Eagles game on first play

Jacksonville Jaguars' defensive end Bryan Thomas Jr. has been disqualified from the remainder of Sunday's Week 5 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

After the opening kickoff, Thomas Jr. and Eagles linebacker Jeremiah Trotter were fighting at midfield. Both players were penalized for unnecessary roughness, and like Thomas Jr., Trotter was disqualified as well.

Thomas Jr., a UDFA, fills a rotational role at defensive end for the Jaguars. His role defensively over the last two games has increased. On the season, Thomas Jr. has recorded two pressures and a sack.

Dennis Gardeck and Danny Striggow will fill the rotational roles behind Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker.

Trotter Jr. moved into a starting role last week against the LA Rams.
