LeBron James is happy to be in action for the Philadelphia 76ers after making his team debut in their preseason contest against the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night.

James is preparing for the 24th season of his remarkable NBA career, his first with the 76ers. Following eight years with the Los Angeles Lakers, the veteran superstar decided to join Philadelphia on a two-year deal for at least one more shot at competing for a championship before his career comes to a close.
James enjoyed 18 minutes of action as he played alongside Joel Embiid, Jaylen Brown, Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe in the starting five. He reflected on the performance after the game, being positive about the experience with his new cast of teammates.

How LeBron James, 76ers played against Nets
LeBron James and the 76ers will look forward to their journey together. However, the preseason debut didn’t see them get a win as they lost 114-108 to the Nets.
Both teams traded blows throughout the course of the game, being even at 97 apiece going into the fourth quarter. Brooklyn had the edge, outscoring Philadelphia 27-21 in the final period.
Four players scored in double-digits for Philadelphia in the loss, including James. He finished with a stat line of 10 points, five assists, four rebounds, and one steal. Jaylen Brown led the team in scoring with 18 points and two rebounds, Tyrese Maxey had 14 points and two assists, while VJ Edgecombe provided 11 points and five rebounds.
The 76ers will look forward to their next preseason contest, taking on the Boston Celtics on Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. ET. After one more preseason game against Boston, Philadelphia will begin the regular season on the road against the reigning champions New York Knicks on Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. ET.
