Dallas entered the game at 2-2 and faced a Tampa Bay side that had lost its opening four games of the season. Instead, the Buccaneers controlled large parts of the contest and finally picked up their first win of the campaign.

Bucky Irving was at the heart of the result with 165 rushing yards and two touchdowns while rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels completed 19 of 25 passes for 189 yards and a touchdown without throwing an interception.

Cowboys fans react after Tampa Bay hands Dallas another setback

The Cowboys led 10-7 at half-time but were blown away in the third quarter as Tampa Bay scored 17 unanswered points. Dak Prescott also threw two interceptions, including a late tipped-ball pick that helped seal the Buccaneers’ victory.

The defeat leaves Dallas at 2-3 and has only added to the concerns surrounding the team’s inconsistent start.

Fans were quick to voice their frustration on social media, with several pointing towards Irving’s dominant performance.

One supporter wrote: “Tampa came in winless. Two Prescott picks and 175 from Bucky Irving got them off the schneid.” Another added: “Cowboys got exposed.”

A third fan commented: “Bucs walked into Dallas and handled them. Bucky Irving ran that game.”

Todd Bowles also came in for criticism despite leading Tampa Bay to its first win. One fan wrote: “Why is it that Todd Bowles almost always makes the wrong decision in games? The Bucs winning should not overshadow his limitations as a head coach. As a DC, that’s a different story.”

Other reactions were far more brutal, with one supporter saying: “Cowboys lost to the worst team in the NFL! Go Bucs!”

Another wrote: “Nothing better than watching Dallas lose, especially at home.” The celebrations continued with: “Best Thursday of all Thursdays.” A Tampa Bay supporter summed up the mood simply: “Finally a breather for Tampa Bay.”

Dallas now has plenty to fix after another uneven performance, while Tampa Bay can finally look ahead with its first win of the season.
