Bills' Josh Allen knows challenge awaits in Rams, Aaron Donald

The Buffalo Bills are hoping for a bounce-back effort from quarterback Josh Allen but know it won't come easy.

The Bills (3-1) head to SoFi Stadium to face the LA Rams (2-2) on "Monday Night Football" in Week 5. The Rams offense gets a lot of the spotlight, but their defense is shining early on in the 2026 NFL season.

Los Angeles has a stout pass defense and ranks second in the NFL allowing only 145.5 yards per game. On the ground, the Rams rank 11th in the league there, allowing just 102.0 yards per game.

"It's a challenge any time you go against that outfit," Buffalo head coach Joe Brady said via video conference. "Also slowing them down is part of our offense."

As for Allen, he does have some past successes against the Rams. While Buffalo lost to LA in 2024, the Bills QB had six total touchdowns against them. But Allen isn't completely leaning on that heading into Monday.

“It’s not entirely the same system. Different players on the field. You can take a little from it," Allen said.

In terms of different players, future Hall of Fame defensive lineman Aaron Donald was retired at the time. Allen is fully aware of that change.

"Aaron Donald is Aaron Donald," Allen said.
