WWE Money in the Bank 2026: Predictions and match card analysis
· Yahoo Sports
Money in the Bank is much later in the year for 2026, but that doesn’t make it any less exciting, as any number of new stars could be on their way up the proverbial ladder in WWE if they make it up the literal ladder on Saturday night. As well as the two briefcase ladder matches, we’ve got ourselves some hot competition elsewhere on the card.

We’ll run down every match, how it’s been building, and who we expect will walk away with the victory on the night. Check out our rundown of the best Money in the Bank cash-ins in history for more on how the briefcase can be used well.
WWE Money in the Bank 2026 match card
- Oba Femi vs Bronson Reed
- Stephanie Vaquer(c) vs Becky Lynch vs Liv Morgan – Women’s World Championship
- Roman Reigns(c) vs LA Knight – World Heavyweight Championship
- Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match
- Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Oba Femi vs Bronson Reed
Oba Femi is introduced during WWE Friday Night SmackDown at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Friday, July 10, 2026.
While this feud with The Vision is very transparently just delaying Oba Femi’s rise to the world title scene, it’s been very entertaining so far, and especially makes sense as Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed feel like two stars who are also ready to break through into the main event scene alongside Oba.
While this being Bronson Reed’s first big match since his return does give him bonus points here, I don’t think you can get away with Oba losing after the year he’s had, especially if an eventual title match with Roman Reigns is his ultimate destination.
Prediction: Oba Femi
Stephanie Vaquer(c) vs Becky Lynch vs Liv Morgan – Women’s World Championship
Stephanie Vaquer is introduced Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, before the Women’s World Championship match at WWE WrestlePalooza at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Since SummerSlam, what was WWE’s most stagnant title scene has livened up a bit, and I’m quite excited for this match, as all three competitors can really bring the heat when needed. I also think it could theoretically go any way. Liv getting the title back would be boring, but could work; Becky is never a bad choice to be champion; and Stephanie hasn’t held the title for very long, so a retention seems likely.
It’s a tough call, but in a situation like this, picking the champ to retain is usually the safest bet.
Prediction: Stephanie Vaquer
Roman Reigns(c) vs LA Knight – World Heavyweight Championship
Roman Reigns throws a punch at Jacob Fatu (right) on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, during the WWE Royal Rumble at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Roman Reigns retains.
…do I really need to say anything more? LA Knight has been feuding with The Bloodline since about 2023 at this point, and while the promos are good, it’s never been overly compelling because there’s no realistic chance of him ever winning.
WWE has tried their damnedest to convince us otherwise, even going as far as to leak “reports” to the dirt sheet that they were thinking of putting the title on Knight, but I’m not biting, and if somehow Knight does come out with the title, I’ll put my hands up and admit they got me on this one.
Somehow I doubt I’ll need to do that, though.
Prediction: Roman Reigns
Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Participants: Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Jacy Jayne, Roxanne Perez, Lash Legend, and Tiffany Stratton
This lineup is something quite joyous to see, as with the exception of Tiffany Stratton, it’s all competitors who have been earmarked for greatness in the women’s division for years but have yet to break through. Frankly, I’d be happy with almost any outcome here. I don’t think Stratton needs to win the briefcase a second time, but aside from her, you could make a compelling case for any one of the women.
Jacy Jayne and Roxanne Perez stand out to me as the top contenders. The briefcase always works better as a heel prop, and both are well-positioned to get the most out of the gimmick. So, unable to logically pick between the two, I’m going with my heart and picking Roxanne, in the hope that she finally turns on Liv and breaks free of the Judgment Day.
Prediction: Roxanne Perez
Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Feb 1, 2025; Indianapolis, IN, USA; Bron Breakker during the Men’s Royal Rumble match during the WWE Royal Rumble at Lucas Oil Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Joe Camporeale-Imagn Images
Participants: Bron Breakker, Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams, Penta, CM Punk, and Kevin Owens
There are so many directions this one could go in. Trick Williams was the rumoured winner about a month ago, but that’s cooled off a bit, and in the meantime, Penta has become supercharged, and suddenly everyone wants him to win – an outcome I certainly wouldn’t complain about.
Then there’s CM Punk and Kevin Owens, both of whom don’t necessarily need the briefcase, but could use it as part of their ongoing storylines with Sami Zayn. Zayn yet again losing the WWE Title in screwy circumstances could make for a compelling next chapter there, regardless of whether it was Punk or Owens who did it.
However, I can’t seem to pull myself away from Bron Breakker. After a really underwhelming start to the year, the feud with Oba Femi has given him a renewed edge, and given how he’s still someone who should be breaking through into the world title scene imminently, I think he’ll walk away with this one. He’ll probably hold that briefcase for a while – at least until after WrestleMania, but it’s still the right statement to make.
Prediction: Bron Breakker
