The Indiana Pacers return to the court tonight as they tune up for the 2026-27 NBA season, playing the Minnesota Timberwolves in Ames, Iowa.

Tonight marks the return of All-NBA guard Tyrese Haliburton, who last played on June 22, 2025, in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. He suffered a torn Achilles tendon in the first quarter of that game, which the Pacers lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Haliburton missed the 2025-26 season, in which the Pacers suffered an avalanche of early injuries on the way to a franchise-worst 19 wins.

Most of the core of the NBA Finals squad returns, with Ivica Zubac expected to start at center. Key newcomers include Kelly Oubre Jr., Larry Nance Jr. and rookie Braden Smith.
