How did Mason Heintschel Get Injured?
Mason Heintschel was having a great game for the Pittsburgh Panthers before he was taken out in an apparent double team from the Virginia Tech defense. Even at the time, it seemed like a rough tackle that might have caused damage to his knee.
One defender seemingly struck the anterior and medial side of his knee, instantly taking the QB down and requiring immediate attention. With him done for the season, Pitt will now need to activate plan B as they try to maintain their season’s momentum.
