The New York Giants haven’t played the Los Angeles Rams yet, but it’s already Week 3 for the 30 other teams.
The Giants still have business to take care of, but they’ll be hosting the Tennessee Titans Sunday at MetLife Stadium at 1 p.m. The Giants open as 6.5-point favorites at home against the 0-2 Titans, per FanDuel, though the line may change based on what happens tonight.

This is one of the games that we’ve had circled since January and it promises to be rich with storylines. The Giants and Titans are inextricably linked after an offseason rife with cross-pollination.
These two teams last met in 2022, with the Giants stunning the Titans who were coming off of a 12-4 season. The Giants came away with a win when the Titans missed a last-second field goal. That game started the Titans’ decline, while the Giants rode the momentum to a 9-7-1 season, a trip to the playoffs, and their first post-season win since 2011.
This time around, the game will feature a gaggle of former Giants making their return to the Meadowlands. Starting slot receiver Wan’Dale Robinson, starting center Austin Schlottman, and second tight end Daniel Bellinger are all featured on the Titans’ offense. Meanwhile, cornerback Cor’Dale Flott is starting for Tennessee’s defense, though he missed last week’s game with a quad injury. His status will be something to monitor.
The Giants attempted to re-sign both Robinson, who was the Giants’ leading receiver a season ago, and Flott, but were outbid by the cap-rich, talent-poor Titans.
This will also feature a different reunion of former teammates. Tennessee drafted Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate with the fourth overall pick. The Giants drafted his teammate, LB Arvell Reese with the very next pick.
The highlight of the storylines is the return of Brian Daboll to New York. Daboll was, as we all remember, the Giants’ head coach from 2022 to 2025, when he was fired mid-season. He was hired by Robert Saleh to be Tennessee’s offensive coordinator and develop quarterback Cam Ward. On the flip side, former Titans’ head coachBrian Callahan is now the Giants’ QB coach and passing game coordinator.
Adding to the intrigue, the Titans nearly took down the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2. The Titans were almost completely bereft of talent a year ago, and they’re going to be a work in progress this year. But perhaps their rebuild is progressing fast than we anticipated — or perhaps the Eagles aren’t as good as many believe.
It feels odd to see the Giants as strong favorites on game day — whether at home or on the road — and this game promises to be far more interesting than the spread may suggest.
