Florida Star Jadan Baugh Lands With NFC Contender in 2027 Mock Draft

Florida Gators running back Jadan Baugh has been making waves all offseason, with the expectation that he would be a major part of the team's offensive plan this year.
Baugh is coming off a very strong season last year that saw him rush for 1,170 yards and eight touchdowns. But under new head coach Jon Sumrall, Baugh could break out even more for the Gators.

The star running back already dominated in the Gators' season opener against Florida Atlantic, putting up 160 yards on the ground and three touchdowns. Baugh will be looking to build upon this as the year goes on, and if he can, the NFL would be the next step.
Baugh is already generating some first-round buzz, and given his performance in Week 1, it has been justified. If the Gators running back can keep up this level of production, he could easily hear his name called on day one of the 2027 NFL Draft.
With this in mind, Baugh was recently mocked in the first round of a new 2027 Draft prediction. Bleacher Report's Scouting Department has Baugh going No. 14 overall to the Minnesota Vikings.
"Baugh blends great size (6'1", 225 lbs), vision, patience, burst and physicality. He fits multiple running schemes and is an effective receiver out of the backfield. Despite a bigger frame, the junior prospect will make defenders miss and change directions in addition to finishing runs with power. Baugh should be viewed as a legitimate three-down running back," Bleacher Report's Scouting Department wrote.
Going to the Vikings could be a fun pairing for Baugh, who is as explosive as they come in college football. Putting him on a team with head coach Kevin O'Connell may help him unlock even more of his game.
Minnesota doesn't have a set plan at the running back spot past this season, opening the door for someone like Baugh to take over. Baugh could become the Vikings' every-down back, giving them a massive boost to the offense.
Having him, along with star wide receiver Justin Jefferson and others, could see the Vikings' offense be one of the best in the entire NFL. But for now, Baugh will focus on helping the Gators try to put together a winning season.
It's been so far so good for Florida, and they have a real star on the hands. And if Baugh keeps going over 100 yards with multiple touchdowns each game, a trip to New York City could be in the cards for him at the end of the year.
