Former Packers OL Brant Banks signs with Jets' practice squad
· Yahoo Sports
Former Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Brant Banks has joined the New York Jets practice squad, according to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson.
The Packers kept 10 offensive linemen on their 2026 initial 53-man roster. Banks, 26, was unable to beat out 2024 sixth-rounder Travis Glover, 2025 seventh-rounder John Williams, and former undrafted free agent Donavan Jennings for one of the last few backup spots.

Listed at 6-7, 306 pounds, Banks arrived in Green Bay as an undrafted free agent rookie in 2025. After being released during final roster cutdowns and signing to the practice squad, he appeared in two games and logged six special teams snaps.
At the end of the season, the Packers signed Banks to a reserve/future contract. Banks competed for a spot on the 2026 initial 53-man roster but was once again released during final cuts. He played 46 offensive snaps across three preseason games this year, lining up solely at right tackle. According to Pro Football Focus, Banks allowed one sack in 31 pass-blocking snaps, and his 55.1 run-blocking grade ranked 10th among Green Bay’s offensive linemen.
The Packers could still sign Banks to their active 53-man roster, though that could require multiple injuries along the offensive line. For now, Banks will try to make the most of his new opportunity with the Jets.
