Kaizer Chiefs: Move away Petersen, let Leaner learn on the job!
· The South African

Kaizer Chiefs fans were again left frustrated by Brandon Petersen‘s costly goalkeeping error against Richards Bay FC on Wednesday night.
The two sides – Chiefs and Richards Bay FC – played to a 2-2 draw in a league match which took place at Princess Magogo Stadium.

And the first of two Nqaba Xulu’s goals came as a result of Petersen moving his eyes of the ball, and this was his third goalkeeper blunder this season.
The Amakhosi captain has now made three costly mistakes in just five matches to date, and this could be the right time for a change.

OPINION: TIME FOR KAIZER CHIEFS TO SWAP PETERSEN FOR LEANER
Chiefs have signed a quality goalkeeper in Renaldo Leaner, and he was brought in for a reason.
His signing was to bring about stability and competition in the Amakhosi goalkeeping department this season and beyond.
And when senior players such as Petersen make costly goalkeeping mistakes, Fernando da Cruz should give other goalkeepers a chance.
Of course, there is still Bruce Bvuma in the mix but he was given enough time to claim that No.1 spot, and thus, Leaner should be given an opportunity.
Leaner coming in doesn’t mean Petersen will be phased out completely but perhaps put him aside until he regains his form.
After all, this the club’s captain and one of the best goalkeepers in the league last season, and he cannot suddenly be a bad shot-stopper.
However, sidelining him may be a wake-up call he needs in order to realise that he has competition in Leaner who is a full Bafana Bafana international.
DO YOU AGREE THAT LEANER SHOULD COME IN NOW?
