Scotland win by one wicket
Scotland beat United Arab Emirates by one wicket as Jasper Davidson struck the winning boundary with just one ball to spare in a dramatic finish to their Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 Tri-Series match in Dundee.
It came two days after a nine-run win over Canada at the same Forthill venue sealed a place at next year's World Cup Qualifier.
This time the hosts had been set a target of 231 for eight, with wicket-keeper and opener Adeeb Usmani scoring an impressive 116, including three sixes and 11 fours, after the UEA were put in to bat.
With experienced batsmen George Munsey and Brandon McMullen, who had earlier been the pick of the bowlers with three for 30, falling for ducks, the Scots looked in trouble at 2-2.
Finlay McCreath (28) and Richie Berrington (39) steadied the ship.
However, although Michael Jones (44) and Matthew Cross (66) put on 72 for the fifth wicket, it could not prevent a grandstand finish.
It was down to Davidson to hit the winning boundary off the penultimate ball after running two to level the scores off the previous delivery, his match-winning shot meaning Scotland finished on 235 for nine.
