Mumbai: NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) MLA Zeeshan Siddique, son of former minister Baba Siddique, has allegedly received a death threat. The threat was reportedly sent through a voice note on social media by gangster Zeeshan Akhtar, who is believed to be operating from abroad. Akhtar is one of the key conspirators and accused in the Baba Siddique murder case and is currently wanted by the Mumbai Crime Branch and other investigating agencies.

In the viral voice note circulating on social media, the gangster allegedly claimed responsibility for Baba Siddique's murder and threatened Zeeshan Siddique, saying, "I killed your father, and now it's your turn. You have been interfering in all my activities. Run to the Crime Branch as much as you can... I have issued a fatwa against you. Increase your security."

According to Mumbai Police sources, neither Zeeshan Siddique nor any member of his family has lodged a formal complaint regarding the alleged threat. Zeeshan Siddique is currently outside India. The Mumbai Crime Branch has initiated a technical verification of the viral audio clip to ascertain its authenticity and trace its source. Police sources further stated that Zeeshan Siddique's statement will be recorded upon his return to India.
