Guardians reshape roster with trades. Who's in, who's out, new lineups

The Cleveland Guardians packed an offseason's worth of trades into the 57 hours leading up to the MLB trade deadline, which was 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3.

Entrenched in both the race for the American League Central Division title and a wild card playoff spot, the Guardians (57-56) got aggressive at the deadline. In four trades, they addressed the entire roster by adding to the lineup, the starting rotation and the bullpen.
So where's the roster stand after the flurry of activity?
Here's a look at the Guardians roster, as of Aug. 3.
Who did the Guardians trade for at the deadline?
On Monday, Cleveland added three big-league players to their roster via trade:
- Outfielder Jo Adell from the Los Angeles Angels
- All-star left-handed pitcher Foster Griffin from the Washington Nationals
- First baseman Nathaniel Lowe from the Cincinnati Reds
- Those moves came after Saturday's trade for reliever Craig Yoho and outfielder Blake Perkins from the Milwaukee Brewers in a deal that included former Guardians starting catcher Bo Naylor.
Who have the Guardians optioned to Triple-A?
To make room for the newcomers, some familiar faces are on the move.

- This is viewing Slade Cecconi as a potential player to be optioned to Triple-A Columbus. He and Logan Allen would be the Nos. 6 and 7 in the rotational pecking order. Cecconi could potentially be put in the bullpen, but the Guardians might want him to continue to be lengthened out in the event of an injury.
