Press Taylor on Bears' game-day advantage: 'We have Ben (Johnson)'
· Yahoo Sports
There is a reason Chicago Bears coach Ben Johnson was the most highly sought-after head coach prospect going into the 2025 season. Not only is he known as a quarterback whisperer and offensive guru, but he brings an attitude to the team and the locker room that inevitably leads to winning.
His “Good, Better, Best” chant inspired not only the Bears locker room but also the fans. Everyone believed Chicago had a chance to win every single week and with Johnson at the helm, the Bears really did have a chance to win every game no matter how unlikely it seemed.

Press Taylor felt that energy last season serving as Chicago’s pass game coordinator. Now as the offensive coordinator, Taylor still feels the Bears have a chance to win every game because of Johnson.
“When he steps on the field, there’s a certain look in his eyes, and it’s kind of like, all right,” Taylor said. “And you get excited on our side because we have Ben. Like, that’s part of the process of, why do you think you’re going to win? We have Ben. Like, that’s a big part of it.”
Of course, winning games that seem unwinnable also helps inspire a team to believe they can always win, and Chicago managed to do that with seven comeback wins last season. Two of those victories were against the Green Bay Packers -- once in the regular season in overtime and again in the playoffs, where Taylor’s passing attack helped engineer an 18-point comeback.
With Johnson going into his second year as the head coach and Taylor as the offensive coordinator, this offense has the potential to be even better and more exciting than last season.
