NFL world reacts to James Pearce attending Falcons minicamp
· Yahoo Sports
According to a report from ESPN, Atlanta Falcons edge rusher James Pearce Jr. has returned to Flowery Branch for the team's three-day mandatory minicamp. This is the first real update we've received regarding the Defensive Rookie of the Year finalist since he was charged with three felonies back in February.

Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski has refrained from commenting on Pearce, but it appears the second-year pass rusher will be a regular participant when the team returns to the practice field on Tuesday. Pearce's charges, which stem from an offseason arrest for stalking his ex-girlfriend, could be wiped away.
"Those charges will be dropped if Pearce stays out of trouble for the next year, passes random drug tests and remains compliant with a mental health treatment program," wrote ESPN's Marc Raimondi.
However, Pearce could (and likely will) be suspended for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. As of Monday, the league has yet to make an official determination. That means Pearce could be held without restriction at mandatory minicamp this week.

If you’ve been listening to me on LockedOn all last week and Sports Extra last night I told everyone this would be the most likely scenario. https://t.co/jMvC9Spih7

Take a look at what this guy DID. And tell me the NFL doesn't have a serious problem welcoming him back into the league.

Doesn't even have to address the media?
Gross.
Why doesn't James Pearce have to address the media... https://t.co/Qt1YkvmJTs

If there’s a team that doesn’t need karmic justice coming for them, it’s the Falcons. https://t.co/NEihdfJbyP

I'm a Falcons fan. They should cut him. Truly some athlete privilege happening here because we all know any of us would be out of a job and in prison if we did what he did. We just don't have the money to make things go away.
