Can the Boston Celtics really land Giannis Antetokounmpo via trade?

· Yahoo Sports

The Giannis Antetokounmpo sweepstakes are already in full swing, with the Boston Celtics reportedly among the front-runners to acquire the two-time MVP. Of course, any move for Giannis would likely mean the Celtics part ways with Jaylen Brown, who is coming off the best season of his career thus far.

Boston isn't the only team to hold interest in acquiring Giannis, though. The Miami Heat are expected to make a big push, while you can't rule out a move from the Golden State Warriors or potentially the New York Knicks. Therefore, despite the Celtics' ability to offer a genuine All-Star talent, there's still a chance Giannis will land elsewhere in the league in the coming weeks.

With that in mind, WEEI's "The Greg Hill Show" recently debated whether the Celtics could legitimately acquire Giannis, and whether they should continue pursuing a deal, knowing that it will likely spell the end for the Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown duo. The panel also questioned what else the Celtics may have to give up in a trade, and whether the overall cost would be worthwhile considering Giannis is already 31 years old.
