✅ The first major transfer of the summer is nearing completion. Nathaniel Brown (22) is expected to move from Eintracht Frankfurt to FC Bayern for a fee just under 65 million euros, including bonuses. Frankfurt chief Markus Krösche (45) and Bayern Boss Max Eberl (52) have achieved a breakthrough in negotiations.
Brown is a dynamic, young talent, who could be Germany’s left-back for the next two World Cups. For his part, Brown can also play left-wing or right-back in Vincent Kompany’s system. However, the presence of Davies at the position does raise some questions. Is Bayern Munich that concerned with Davies’ health to make it spend that much for a contingency plan? Will Brown shift to the right side? Is Bayern Munich actually considering a sale of Davies as has been rumored?
One other thing to keep an eye on his board member for sport Max Eberl’s possible inability to get Eintracht Frankfurt off its number. If such a concession happens, will it work against Eberl as he attempts to negotiate a new deal for himself with the club?
Those are questions for another day, though, as Bayern Munich could be very close to securing a top talent, which — regardless of price — should be a feather in the cap of Eberl.
