We're going to see one of the more exciting NBA Finals in quite some time if things go as planned between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs and Knicks have both played extremely well throughout the playoffs, and with Game 1 on Wednesday night, with a Knicks win, there's a lot to like about both sides.

The Knicks have a superstar in Jalen Brunson, a player who has been counted out plenty of times throughout his career. Brunson will have to prove he can win a championship for this city, as they're dying for it.
On the other side of the court will be superstar Victor Wembanyama, a 22-year-old who has been appointed as the next great one. Many people around the NBA are hopeful that he's going to be the next generational star, with some even comparing him to LeBron James in terms of impact.
Regardless of how others feel about that, Wembanyama is great for the sport, and he really cares about winning. He also has a lot of respect for the Knicks on the other side, sending them a very nice message ahead of the Finals.
“It’s a great team,” Wembanyama said, per the Post. “It’s a great team of experienced guys who are not here by chance, but by relentless effort over the years and very different career paths for all of them. So, they’re right where they’re supposed to be, in my opinion, and all of them are going to be super hungry in their own way.”
Wembanyama hit it right on the head here, as every player on the Knicks is dying to win a championship. Even if we take away the personal satisfaction from winning it all, Knicks players understand what this fan base is looking for. They got to this moment for the first time in a very long time, and don't want to be a disappointment as they have been in times past.
