Odds released for Oregon Ducks vs. Texas Longhorns in Super Regional

· Yahoo Sports

The Oregon Ducks got over a big hump last weekend with a sweep in the Eugene Regional, winning three games over the Yale Bulldogs, Washington State Cougars, and Oregon State Beavers to advance to the Super Regionals of the NCAA Tournament. After failing to advance out of the Eugene Regional last year, making it to the next round was a breath of fresh air.

Now, the Ducks have a bigger hump waiting for them, though.

Oregon will travel down to Austin for a Super Regional matchup against the Texas Longhorns, who have been among the best teams in college baseball all year long. With teams like the UCLA Bruins and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets upset in the regional round, Texas stands as one of the favorites to win the national championship, with +480 odds, second best in the nation per FanDuel Sportsbook.

On Tuesday afternoon, betting odds for the series were released, and Oregon enters as significant underdogs, listed at +250 to advance to the College World Series. Meanwhile, the Longhorns are -340 favorites.

The Ducks have the 10th-best odds in the nation to win the CWS. The Longhorns finished the year ranked No. 6 in the nation by D1Baseball, going 40-13 on the year and finishing second in the SEC.

The first game of the series comes on Saturday at 5 p.m. PT and will be aired on ESPN. The second game will be on Sunday at 6 p.m., also on ESPN, and the third game, if necessary, will be played on Monday.
