We’ve previously hit on the quarterback and running back positions, so next up to bat in our draft series are the receivers. Let’s take you through what the Green Bay Packers’ depth chart looks like, what the draft class looks like and what the Packers could potentially do at the position on draft week.

Packers Receiver Depth Chart

  • Christian Watson
  • Matthew Golden
  • Jayden Reed
  • Dontayvion Wicks
  • Bo Melton
  • Savion Williams
  • Skyy Moore
  • Will Sheppard
  • Isaiah Neyor
  • Jakobie Keeney-James

On paper, I would say that receiver isn’t much of a need for the Packers in 2026. They have seven players who are 53-man roster caliber and Savion Williams, a top-100 pick from last year’s draft, is already caught in the logjam. With that being said, the team could look ahead and make a draft pick that helps more in 2027 (and beyond) than in 2026.

While these receivers are under contract this year, Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, Bo Melton and Skyy Moore are all going into the final seasons of their contracts. Only Matthew Golden and Savion Williams are under contract for 2027 and beyond. I’m sure the team will get a deal done with Watson, and there’s the potential for Green Bay to extend Reed, too, but there’s still a chance the team targets the position to help themselves out in 2027.

So far, the only receiver with a draftable grade on the consensus board that the Packers have brought in for a pre-draft visit is Georgia State receiver Ted Hurst, who is expected to be a third-round pick. Hurst sort of checks Green Bay’s receiver boxes in the Matt LaFleur era: He’s fast and a 200-pounder.

The Packers have also brought in East Carolina receiver Anthony Smith, another big speedster (gee, do they have a type), who Dane Brugler believes could be a possible draft choice.

Beyond the visitor, two players who remind me of former Packers are Alabama’s Germie Bernard and Indiana’s Elijah Sarratt. Bernard is a Romeo Doubs clone to me, while Sarratt has some Jordy Nelson to his game with the way he’s able to attack the football. It’s also worth noting here that North Dakota State’s Bryce Lance was coached by current Green Bay receivers coach Noah Pauley when Pauley was still with the Bison.
