No Syracuse player named to All-ACC teams; Donnie Freeman given honorable mention
· Yahoo Sports
The 2025-26 ACC Men’s Basketball Season Honors were released by the conference on Monday night and for the second straight season Syracuse was devoid of a single player named to the First, Second or Third team on the men’s side. Duke’s Cameron Boozer was named Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year,
Donnie Freeman was given Honorable Mention. William Kyle III had three votes for Defensive Player of the Year. That award went to former Syracuse center Maliq Brown, now in his second season at Duke. Brown was named Defensive Player of the Year and Sixth Man of the Year, becoming the first player to win both awards in the same season. Former Syracuse guard Quadir Copeland (NC State) was named to All-ACC Third Team.
