In his two years with the Lakers, Redick has been a superb head coach for his players. Since he was an experienced NBA player, Redick knows how to relate to his players. Considering he is also quite a young coach, he feels connected to most of his players, especially Doncic and LeBron James.
Unfortunately, most players can get frustrated in the heat of the moment. That is what happened between Doncic and his head coach, which is quite normal in professional sports.

"I didn't think much of it at the time. He and I have a great relationship. I really value our relationship. I think those things happen, not every game, but they happen very frequently. Sometimes, you have to rehash with a player, as a teammate, sometimes it happens... It's a competition with two guys that are trying to win a basketball game," Redick said about the viral clip.
Moving forward, nothing will change between Redick and Doncic. That is normal in the NBA, and they will continue to have disagreements, which is quite helpful when it comes to resolving problems.
