The man who started this run was Robert Woods, who had an All-American season for the Trojans back in 2011. On Tuesday, Woods announced his retirement from the NFL after 13 seasons in the league.
Woods played at USC from 2010-2012. As a sophomore in 2011, he set program records, catching 111 passes for 1,292 yards and 15 touchdowns. He was named a Consensus All-American following the season, and was also a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award.
Woods declared for the 2013 NFL Draft, where the Buffalo Bills selected him in the second round. He would go on to spend 13 seasons in the league with Buffalo, the Los Angeles Rams, the Tennessee Titans, the Houston Texans, and a brief stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Woods went over 500 yards receiving in each of his first ten seasons in the NFL, including over 1,000 yards twice. He won Super Bowl LVI with Los Angeles following the 2021 season.
Now, Woods is hanging up his cleats. The Southern California native will forever be appreciated by the Trojan Family for his role in helping make USC WRU.
