Clear Fork's Boccio takes top honors in Division V All-District 6 awards

WILLARD — Clear Fork's Ava Boccio is the best of the best.
Boccio earned Division V District 6 Player of the Year honors as handed out by members of the Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association after she led the Colts in scoring with 17.1 points per game. The junior helped the Colts to their first league championship since 2004 when they went undefeated in the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference this season.

Boccio was joined by teammate Brinley Barnett (9.7 PPG) as first team selections while fellow Colt Eliana Pelkey (9 PPG) was second team.
In Division II-III, Ontario's Rylee Milner earned first team honors after averaging 14 points per game for the Warriors. Madison's Maddy Berry (12 PPG) earned second team honors to round out the Richland County players.
In Division IV, Shelby's Chloe Mahek earned first team All-District 6 honors after scoring 16.5 points per game. Teammate Braylee Sturts (9.6 PPG) and Lexington's Tatum Stover (10.2 PPG) were second team honorees.
In Division VI, Crestview's Tori Kidney took first team honors after scoring 12.7 points per game. Mansfield Christian's Zy'Eir Davis (12.6 PPG) was a second team selection along with teammate Brooklyn Rider (13.2 PPG). Crestview's Shelby Bays (7.5 PPG) was an honorable mention.
In Division VII, Lucas's Riley Trumpower was a first team All-District 6 selection after she averaged 12.3 points per game. Plymouth's Kendyll Tolbert (10 PPG) and Lucas' Katie Griffey (9.6 PPG) were second team selections.
