Nov. 7—COLUMBIA — South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers was injured in the second quarter against Texas A&M on Saturday, but later returned to the game.

Coach Shane Beamer told ESPN at halftime that Sellers was getting X-rays and that "we're concerned." The broadcast said that X-rays came back negative.

Sellers was on the field in full uniform going through warmups before the second half. Following a Texas A&M field goal early in the second half, he returned to action.

Sellers had just completed a 64-yard pass to Mazeo Bennett, and the Gamecocks were setting up for their second red-zone attempt of the day. Sellers took the snap and was immediately surrounded by Texas A&M defenders as he tried to get the throw off.

Defensive end Sam M'Pemba fell on Sellers and knocked the ball from his hand, Texas A&M recovering. Sellers was on the ground holding his lower left leg.

He limped to the sideline and into the medical tent, then was able to walk unassisted off the field to the locker room. He did not return in the first half.

The Gamecocks led 7-6 at half. If Sellers had been unable to return to the game, sophomore Cutter Woods would have taken his place at quarterback.
