Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson came out of the ambulance in full uniform and literally finished the game. All that was missing was a matching cape.

Watson was injured in the second quarter of the Packers' 27-19 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night, Oct. 29, at Lambeau Field after making a 53-yard reception in the second quarter.

He eventually walked off the field under his own power before doctors determined he should go to St. Vincent Trauma Center to be examined for a chest injury. It appeared his night was over.

But, after being cleared to return to Lambeau, Watson stunned both players and fans.

He went back in the game with four minutes to play in the third quarter and ended up making a 7-yard catch for what turned out to be the game-clinching first down with less than three minutes left.

Watson finished the game with eight catches and 113 yards, including two catches after he returned from the hospital. He told reporters after the game that he had a broken rib.

A true deep-threat receiver, Watson has three catches this year of at least 50 yards and this was his third game of the season where he topped 100 yards.

Watson told reporters after the game that returning to the field an ambulance remined him of a wrestling drama.

"It was super-dramatic," Watson said. "I used to watch WWE as a kid. I felt like I was watching WWE Smackdown vs. Raw or something, seeing the cameras on me when I was coming out of the ambulance. That was a little crazy."

Packers fans had plenty to say about Watson's unlikely return:
