While calling the NFL’s Buffalo Bills-Las Vegas Raiders game for CBS, Jim Nantz hurt his hand with JJ Watt while trying to punch the football out of his hand.

Some of the benefits of watching a broadcast are the anecdotes and demonstrations. Watt held the football as Nantz tried to “peanut punch” it out.

This amused Watt, who didn’t expect Nantz to try so hard. However, Nantz’s efforts, which might have been admired, might’ve come at a cost. He joked that he broke his wrist.

Maybe this will be the first of many memorable moments with Nantz and Watt. Watt is CBS’ replacement for Tony Romo this season, who was arrested for an OWI over the summer.

The Bills and Raiders faced off in an entertaining afternoon game on CBS in Week 6. Going into the fourth quarter, the Bills were up by 10 points. It looked like all hope was lost, but Kirk Cousins led his team down the field for a field goal.

This cut the lead down to seven points. The Raiders forced Josh Allen’s offense to punt on their next drive, and Cousins threw a touchdown pass on their next offensive possession to tie the game.

However, it was all downhill from there. Allen led the Bills on a touchdown that chewed up over three minutes of the clock. Vegas got the ball with a chance to match the score, but Cousins was unable to complete a pass on the drive. The Bills scored another field goal on their next drive.

Cousins was able to connect with Tre Tucker on a deep touchdown pass on the Raiders’ last drive to cut the lead to three, but they couldn’t recover the ensuing onside kick.
