Chaotic Week 7 shakes up US LBM Coaches Poll
· Yahoo Sports
Have you caught your breath from a wild weekend of college football? With so many top-10 teams losing this weekend, including the top-two teams and three of the top four teams overall, there are some brand new looks to this week's US LBM Coaches Poll.
The Miami Hurricanes ascended to the top of the US LBM Coaches Poll after a double-overtime victory over rival Florida State on Saturday night. The Hurricanes moved up two spots from No. 3 to No. 1 after the previous No. 1 and No. 2 teams, Georgia and Notre Dame, lost in Week 7. Georgia was clipped at home by Auburn with a last-second field goal, and Notre Dame came up one play short of avoiding an upset on the road against BYU. The Cougars capitalized on the win and the eventful weekend by climbing from No. 8 to No. 3.

Up next for Penn State
Penn State will get a much-needed bye week to try and regroup. After four consecutive losses, Penn State has much to address in the of week before returning to action, mostly with the performance of the offense. Penn State will return to action in two weeks for a home game against Purdue on Halloween, Oct. 31, in Beaver Stadium. A start time has yet to be announced for the Big Ten matchup.
As things stand now with the current coaches poll, there are no ranked teams awaiting Penn State on the schedule in the second half of the season.
