The Buffalo Bills have a tough quarterback, and Josh Allen is a special talent. However, Joe Brady admitted that the Bills got away with a clock-management error during the win over the Rams, according to a post on X by Ari Meirov.

“#Bills HC Joe Brady confirmed they probably should’ve taken two knees before attempting the game-winning FG last night to drain more time in case they missed and the #Rams got the ball back. Brady says a 45-yard FG and 47-yard FG isn’t a big difference in that situation.”

Brady said he will do differently next time.

“If I had that opportunity again …” Brady said. “Look, I was convicted about it. The best thing would be, is to take two knees. Be a completely different story if the ball was a little further back. They’d have 45 seconds and not two minutes (if the Bills had missed).”

Bills escape Rams with OT victory

The Bills got a second chance when they blocked a potential game-winning field goal by the Rams’ Harrison Mevis. Allen said it’s part of the game, according to ESPN.

“That’s the beautiful thing about football: You get another drive,” Allen said. “All you can do is keep moving forward. You’re hoping someone on defense or special teams can make a play, and that’s what happened. Greg Rousseau made a play.”

Brady said the way the Bills found a way to win.

“That overtime kind of showed the type of character of who our team is,” Brady said. “You don’t want to fumble. That can’t happen. But we just keep playing.”

The Bills humbled the Rams with their ground game. Cook rushed for 111 yards. Allen also went over the century mark with 121. Add in a couple of carries from Ray Davis, and the Bills had 37 carries for 234 yards. Cook totaled two rushing scores while Allen pounded in for one.
