UConn announced Thursday morning that the program will induct Fudd into its Huskies of Honor on Sunday, Nov. 8. Her induction ceremony will take place 30 minutes before the Huskies tip off against Iowa (2 p.m.) in its first game in Storrs this season.
Fudd will become the 25th former player to be inducted into the Huskies of Honor, following Aaliyah Edwards' induction last season. To be inducted into the Huskies of Honor, a player must graduate with a bachelor's degree and earn First-Team All-American status.
Along with Edwards, Fudd joins former players Paige Bueckers, Napheesa Collier, Katie Lou Samuelson, Gabby Williams, Morgan Tuck, Moriah Jefferson, Breanna Stewart, Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis, Stefanie Dolson, Bria Hartley, Maya Moore, Tina Charles, Renee Montgomery, Diana Taurasi, Swin Cash, Sue Bird, Shea Ralph, Svetlana Abrosimova, Nykesha Sales, Kara Wolters, Jennifer Rizzotti, Rebecca Lobo and Kerry Bascom up on the wall.
Geno Auriemma and Chris Dailey are also inducted, along with nine of the program's national championship teams. The Huskies of Honor was established in 2006.
During her five years in Storrs, Fudd led UConn to the 2025 national championship title, two national championship game appearances and three Final Fours. She was named the 2025 Final Four Most Outstanding Player and is a two-time All-Big East First Team honoree.
Fudd had a career year in 2025-26, averaging 17.3 points, 3.1 assists, 2.6 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 0.5 blocks, along with a 48.1 field goal percentage and a 44.7 3-point percentage. Last year, in her first full healthy season since joining the Huskies as the 2021 No. 1-ranked high school recruit, Fudd anchored UConn's perimeter shooting and its defense. She earned First-Team All-American honors from the WBCA, AP and USBWA, making her eligible for the Huskies of Honor.
She also earned her bachelor's degree in communication from UConn in 2024 and a Master of Business Administration degree in 2026.
The star guard finished her career ranked inside the top-25 in a handful of UConn's program records: No. 1 in career free throw percentage (92.5), No. 4 in single-season 3-pointers made (117, 2025-26), No. 5 in career 3-pointers made (292), No. 7 in career 3-point percentage (42.2) and No. 21 in career points (1,687).
Fudd became the seventh former Husky to be selected No. 1 overall in the WNBA Draft when the Dallas Wings drafted her this April. Despite her rookie year being cut short due to a knee procedure, Fudd was named to the AP WNBA All-Rookie Team and became the first rookie, and first former Husky, to win the WNBA's All-Star 3-point contest.
Fudd will compete for Project B this offseason.
UConn women's basketball begins the 2026-27 season on Nov. 2 hosting Cornell.
