ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — The first major call-up from the IceHogs for this season has happened. Forward Dominic Toninato got the call from the Blackhawks Wednesday.
Toninato is a 32-year-old forward. A roster spot opened up on the Blackhawks when Andrew Mangiapane was placed on injured reserve.
Toninato scored the IceHogs lone goal in their home opener this past Saturday night. He appeared in eight games for the Blackhawks last season.
Toninato could see action Thursday night when the Blackhawks face the Islanders on Long Island.
