As announced on The Pat McAfee Show this afternoon, Young is set to serve as the celebrity guest picker for Saturday's edition of College GameDay. The episode will take place from inside the Coleman Coliseum at the University of Alabama, Young's alma mater.
Coming off a stellar Sunday performance for the @Panthers, we had to bring back Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young as our guest picker this Saturday in Tuscaloosa, announced just now on the @PatMcAfeeShow 👏 pic.twitter.com/aPeXHP0kao

Young spent three seasons in Tuscaloosa. In 2021, his first full season as a starter, Young was voted the Heisman Trophy winner—throwing for an SEC-leading 4,872 yards and 47 touchdowns and guiding the Crimson Tide to a conference championship win as well as a spot in the national title game.
The Panthers, two years later, selected Young with the first overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft. He became the second Alabama alum to be taken atop an NFL draft, joining Harry Gilmer (1948).
Young enters the break, and his role as guest picker, as the NFL's leading passer at 1,268 yards.
