Mike Owenu, the team's top option, went down with an injury in Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the top backup, Greg Van Roten, got injured in the team's Week 3 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Both players are currently on injured reserve.
That left an opening for Ben Brown to get his shot in last week's win over the Buffalo Bills. So was his performance good enough to keep him as the starter for the Week 5 game against the Las Vegas Raiders?
"I think Ben will be out there. I think he'll be slated to start at right guard," Vrabel told reporters on Wednesday, via Patriots Wire's Sophie Weller.
On Monday, Mike Vrabel said it was too early to say if Ben Brown would remain as the starting RG. Now that he's had a few days, is there an update?

The Patriots still have veterans Walter Rouse and Matt Pryor on the depth chart to compete for the starting role.
However, Brown has more experience in the Patriots' offense, and it's clear that the team trusts him up front. His ability to step up and provide stability with Onwenu and Van Roten on the mend would be a major development for the Patriots.
