Longhorns Daily News: Eli Manning hopes Arch lands at New York Giants after Texas quarterback’s tenure ends — ‘for purely selfish reasons’
· Yahoo Sports
The conversations around Texas quarterback Arch Manning’s future will inevitably ramp up.
Visit biznow.biz for more information.
A fourth-year player, Manning still has one season of eligibility once the 2026 college football season ends.
But will Manning return to the Longhorns, again?
Or will Manning take his talent to the NFL to follow in the footsteps of his familiar NFL greats, such as former New Orleans Saints quarterback Archie Manning (Arch’s grandfather) and his uncles, Peyton and Eli Manning. The latter two of whom combined to have played in six Super Bowls across the span of their respectfully lengthy careers, and both Peyton (the Indianapolis Colts and, later, the Denver Broncos) and Eli (the New York Giants.) Altogether, the second-generation Manning brother duo won four Super Bowls.
Yahoo! Sports recently asked Eli about his dreams and aspirations for his nephew’s NFL career.
“There’s two ways I look at this,” Manning said, per Yahoo! Sports. “For purely selfish reasons, I wouldn’t mind if he went to the Jets, just because I live right there, I could go to games, I could have dinner with him during the week a little bit. I think it’d be great for him to have some family nearby, so I wouldn’t mind him going to the Jets, being up in New York … that’s just my selfish reasons and I think he could help them.”
