Business booming over White Sox postseason excitement

CHICAGO (WGN) - The start of the American League Division Series between the Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Guardians is getting closer and excitement is growing.
At Grandstand Limited, a sports merchandising family-owned business at 35th and Wallace just a few blocks from Rate Field, business is good and delightfully so, says owner Stephanie Ganal.
Visit newsbetsport.bond for more information.
Her parents started this business in 1989 and the last several years when the White Sox were bad, real bad, business was not so good. Turn the page to this year and you could put it on the board!
"We've seen it all in '05 and now anything can happen," Ganal said.
ALDS schedule for White Sox revealedOn their way to Game 1 of the ALDS in Cleveland are White Sox fans Sean Murphy and his father John, who is a John Carroll University graduate on the outskirts of Cleveland. He still has many friends in the Cleveland area.
John took some time to speak with one of WGN-TV's biggest White Sox fans Patrick Elwood while on the road to Progressive Field.
"I think it's going to be super exciting. Murakami, Vargas, Montgomery, these guys are playing some really hot ball now and I think we're looking forward to two victories, and I'm heading back to Chicago mid-week on a broom for a sweep," John said.
John will be going to a game at Rate Field as well when the team returns home, which brings us back to Grandstand Limited, and with this White Sox team being so young and so exciting, it's inevitable that they are attracting an even younger generation of fans.
Jeter and his little brother Bean were at Grandstand with their father Mike, while their mother was busy shopping in the store. They will be at Game 4 at Rate Field, if necessary.
Excitement growing as White Sox advance to ALDSAlong with that excitement comes a boom to the bar business.
Cork & Kerry at the Park, a South Side tradition, is expecting a lively crowd for Game 3, maybe Game 4 and on and on.
While at Grandstand, Elwood also found his White Sox postseason hat.
The ALDS begins Saturday at noon at Progressive Field in Cleveland.
