Dunn has built a strong relationship with the Sooners during most of her recruitment process.

“Oklahoma was my first big Power 4 offer,” Dunn previously told Rivals. “They were the first ones to pull the trigger on offering me and since then I’ve just continued to really, really grow that relationship.”

The relationships with the coaching staff and players played a role in her decision.

“Coach Baranczyk has always been very honest with me, which I appreciate. She encourages me, but… she watches the game. She’s like, hey, I would work on these things, and that means a lot… even at this stage in recruiting. I also know players there, like Reagan Beers and Brooklyn Stewart, who’s currently there. She’s one of the best people I know and she speaks really highly of the program.”

Play style was another important factor for Dunn.

“I love to run the floor,” she said. “That’s my favorite thing as a post player. Oklahoma loves to run, and so playing style, it worked really well.”

The Sooners are getting a hardworking big in Dunn.

“I always pride myself on my defense and my ability to guard the paint and that’s a big thing for me,” she said of her game. “It’s an expectation that I have to go and get rebounds. Being 6-6, I feel like that’s a given, I have to do those things, continue to do that, work on my versatility and my ability to play through contact.”
