Several key Michigan players, including edge rushers John Henry Daley and Dom Nichols, as well as receiver Andrew Marsh, are listed as “questionable” on the first Big Ten availability report on Wednesday, Sept. 30 ahead of the Wolverines’ Big Ten road opener against Minnesota.

But starting tackle Blake Frazier, who moved from left tackle to start at right tackle the last two days in place of injured starter Andrew Sprague, is listed as “probable” for the Minnesota game. Frazier appeared to injure his right leg during Michigan’s second drive of the second half and after a brief visit to the medical tent, returned to the game. Offensive line coach Jim Harding said Wednesday he was hopeful Frazier will play.

“He’s been limited all week, and he’s a tough kid,” Harding said. “I’d like to think he’s going to play, but I’ve been fooled before, so, I hope so. He’s banged up a little bit.”

Marsh is coming off back-to-back 100-yard receiving games. He led Michigan with 10 catches for 105 yards  and a touchdown against UTEP in Game 3, and against Iowa, he had 106 yards on seven catches.

Nichols was listed as questionable the first three availability reports issued before the Iowa game but played in the Big Ten opener. Daley was injured on the second to last play of Michigan’s 20-19 loss to Iowa last Saturday, Sept. 26.

“He’s doing OK,” head coach Kyle Whittingham, appearing Monday, Sept. 29 on the “Inside Michigan Football” radio show, said of Daley. “He’s walking, which is a positive, without a boot, without crutches. But we’ll have to see as the week progresses how much soreness we can get out of that injury and get him back on the field.”

Sprague is listed as questionable, as are linemen Manuel Beigel and Houston Ka’aha’aina-Torres.
