Lena-Winslow fights off a determined Fulton Steamers squad

LENA, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — For the second straight week the Lena-Winslow Panthers were pushed by an NUIC foe, and for the second straight week Lena-Winslow emerged with a win.
Last week the Panthers got by Galena. This week they defeated Fulton 22-14.
Fulton came into the game with a 4-1 record overall, 2-1 in the conference. The Steamers led 14-8 at halftime after putting two touchdowns on the board in the second quarter, but the Panthers outscored the Steamers 16-0in the second half.
Senior Andrew Geiseman rushed for 90 yads on 14 carries, and he scored two touchdowns. Hudson Raders rushed for 62 yards and another touchdown. Merrick Mahon added 79 yards rushing on 16 carries.
Fulton quarterback Easton Spooner completed 9 of 13 passes for 78 yards and one touchdown.
Sophomore running back Wyatt Connor carried the ball 19 times for 86 yards and one touchdown.
Lena-Winslow's record is now 4-2 overall and 4-0 in the NUIC. Fulton is 4-2, 2-2. Watch the media player for highlights.
