DePaul football gets back on track, knocks off Delbarton
· Yahoo Sports
WAYNE – DePaul’s Gavin Sblendorio scored two touchdowns, including a 45-yard receiving touchdown for the deciding score in a 21-14 win over Delbarton on Sept. 25. The victory snapped a two-game losing streak for the Spartans and prevented DePaul from suffering its first three-game skid since the start of the 2022 season.
Touchdown runs by Sblendorio and Sean Nevers gave DePaul a 14-0 lead at halftime, but Delbarton would not go away. Trailing 21-7 in the fourth quarter, an errant pass trying to avoid a sack resulted in a 60-yard interception returned for a touchdown by Vince Anchilarre to cut the DePaul lead to 21-14.
